Alpha Phi

Florida Tech
ABOUT

About

Founded in 1872 by ten strong, independent women at Syracuse University, Alpha Phi is now one of the oldest and largest women's fraternities in North America. The Theta Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi is one of over 150 chapters in both the United States and Canada. Alpha Phis are members of a lifelong sisterhood, a woman’s fraternity. Our keystone is friendship–warm, simple and sincere. In Alpha Phi there is encouragement, understanding, and opportunities to grow.

Alpha Phi is one of three National Panhellenic Conference sororities here at Florida Tech. The Theta Zeta chapter is a group of independent women bonded together and committed to friendship, scholarship, and womanhood.

PRESIDENT

Hi, I’m Devon McMahon and I am the current president of the Theta Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi at Florida Tech. Since I joined this chapter in the Fall of 2013, Alpha Phi has greatly impacted my college experience and shaped me into the person I am today! I am truly grateful for my sisters because not only have they been by my side for some of the best moments of my life, but also for some of the hardest. Our sisterhood is a feeling and support system like no other, and for that I am forever grateful.

Our chapter consists of over 35 active sisters who strive to uphold Alpha Phi’s values of sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, loyalty, and character development. Whether its binge-watching Netflix, accompanying one another to the Campus dining hall, or studying in the library for endless hours you can always count on a sister to join you.

Between hosting our annual Red Dress Gala, sisterhood events, mixers with Fraternities, community service, our spring formal, or big little reveal there is never a dull moment in our chapter. Every single member within our chapter contributes to our chapter’s overall success. Our public motto, “Union Hand in Hand”, reminds us that we can accomplish anything when we work together. I encourage you to explore the rest of our social media to learn more about our chapter and what we have to offer. College truly passes by before you know it, but the memories and relationships formed within our sisterhood last a lifetime.
